Automation Developer

BusPatrol is seeking an Automation Developer to help expand an enterprise automation strategy built on Microsoft Power Platform. This onsite role in Austin, TX focuses on designing and delivering scalable workflows that reduce manual work while moving automation away from desktop-based processes and toward governed, unattended enterprise execution.

In this position, you will develop solutions across operational workflows, including API-integrated automation, OCR-enabled document processing, and workflow modernization. You will also collaborate with business teams to translate policy and process requirements into reliable automation that teams can run and support.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain Power Automate, Power Apps, and related automation solutions that support operational workflows.
• Design API-driven and unattended workflows to reduce employee-triggered processing and limit dependence on individual workstations.
• Build and manage automation frameworks for document generation, template administration, and print-job orchestration.
• Own and expand OCR-enabled document processing to improve inbound mail classification, routing, and processing accuracy.
• Implement and support automation using JSON, Python, JavaScript, and browser-based or RPA approaches when needed.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance automation reliability, including governance, recovery, and overall supportability.
• Partner with business teams to convert policy and process requirements into scalable automation solutions.

What you bring

• Experience developing with Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Experience designing workflow automation solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Experience with API integration, JSON, and system-to-system automation design.
• Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript for scripting and process automation.
• Experience with OCR, document processing, or intelligent document handling workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, workflow design experience, and ability to document solutions, including governance and supportability considerations.
• Ability to manage, develop, and stabilize workflows in a fast-paced operational environment.
