Job Description

Support non-embedded flight software engineering work for the B-52J CERP - Flight Software team in Oklahoma City.

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software across the end-to-end lifecycle while meeting industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards
  • Review and interpret customer requirements and help translate them into initial software product design
  • Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations
  • Support technical documentation and ongoing maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs
  • Debug and resolve issues to improve software reliability and efficiency
  • Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback
  • Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and relevant regulation changes for software development
  • Help establish and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics aligned to project and organizational goals
  • Support software R&D execution and documentation for research and development projects
  • Assist with software project management activities and software supplier management functions
  • Track and evaluate performance of software teams and suppliers to support compliance with project plans and industry standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or ADA
  • 1+ years of experience in SAFE Agile and/or GitLab

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • 1+ years of experience building Docker Images, Gitlab, CI/CD Pipeline, VXWorks Workbench, Git, VSCode Devcontainers
  • Experience with ADA Programming Language preferred
  • Experience with host environments including processors, operating systems, and networks; ability to build, integrate, and troubleshoot software components
  • Experience with software programming languages and databases and applying them to the software domain (including higher order languages, auto-coded languages, and assembly languages)
  • Experience with software architecture and design methodologies
  • Experience with software development processes aligned with established internal and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices for development, testing, and deployment

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay range: USD 92,650 - 125,350 per yearly
  • Shift: 1st shift
  • Application deadline: accepted until Oct. 08, 2026
