Salary and progression: This role carries a salary range of USD 67,736 to USD 102,905 per year. For new hires joining the Commonwealth, the starting annual salary is USD 67,736 (before taxes).

Work model: This is a full-time position with a blend of in-person and remote work. The primary location is Harrisburg, PA, with the possibility of part-time telework. Telework requires a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and an approved location inside Pennsylvania, and you must report in the office at least 2 days per week. If telework cannot be accommodated, you may report to the headquarters in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the hiring process.

Schedule: Standard hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Responsibilities

• Participate in designing, building, and testing features for middleware that support mission critical systems.
• Assist with maintaining middleware applications to ensure reliability and strong performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements and understand technical needs.
• Contribute to reviewing and improving development methods, coding practices, and workflow strategies.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced developers to help them complete technical tasks.
• Analyze issues within assigned applications and recommend effective solutions.
