Job Description

TP ICAP (Liquidnet/TP ICAP) is building low-latency, client-facing equity trading technology through its Global Trading Technology team. This hybrid role in New York, NY supports the Next Generation Global Algorithmic Trading platform, combining strategy development with platform infrastructure that helps drive fast, reliable execution. You will collaborate across Quants, Product, and Sales while continuously improving performance in a low-latency environment.

Work setup: Office 3 days a week and 2 days WFH.

Compensation: Salary up to USD 173,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Liquidnet’s Next Generation Global Algorithmic Trading platform, including highly customizable low-latency trading strategies and supporting infrastructure (low-latency order management and order handling, rules engines, and other algorithmic trading components).
  • Partner closely with Quants to implement trading algorithms, quantitative models, and analytical signals.
  • Collaborate with Product and Sales to address client requests and support algo customizations.
  • Create strategic, pragmatic solutions and deliver effectively in a collaborative development environment.
  • Stay engaged with industry trends and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related Engineering field.
  • 3-5 years of experience developing low-latency trading strategies in Equities, Futures, or Listed Derivatives (for example: execution algorithms, prop strategies, risk trading, smart routing).
  • Proven track record designing, developing, and implementing trading strategies such as benchmark tracking, liquidity seeking, and dark aggregation algorithms.
  • Intimate knowledge of lit and dark market micro-structure, order types, liquidity, market data, and regulatory matters including Reg NMS, ISO orders, MiFID II, dark pools, liquidity seeking, and venue heat maps in the US and/or other global markets.
  • Experience implementing quantitative models, conducting statistical data analysis, building or using data visualization tools, and running simulation and back-testing.
  • Expert proficiency with computer technologies including Java, Linux, and OO Design, with emphasis on performance, re-usability, test automation, and flexibility for customizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across quant, product, sales, and operations teams.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented development approach.
  • Agile Methodologies experience.
  • Experience with low-latency messaging products such as Solace and 29West.
  • Knowledge of event-driven (pub/sub) programming models.
