Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the C2 Ground program, focusing on designing, developing, and integrating software in an Agile/SAFe environment to deliver mission-critical capabilities. This hybrid role is based in Littleton, Colorado, with collaboration across teams to turn user needs into reliable software solutions. You will work across the full software lifecycle, applying standards and best practices to support critical operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, develop and integrate software applications for the target system using Agile methods.
- Author new code for fresh applications and enhance code for existing ones.
- Conduct code reviews, optimize algorithms, and model and run experiments to verify functionality and performance.
- Plan, execute, and coordinate software development activities.
- Apply established standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development lifecycle.
- Leverage knowledge of hardware and software, domain-specific requirements, information processing techniques, and user input to guide software development.
- Debug programs, prepare operating instructions, document program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions about intent, outputs, inputs, techniques, and controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience developing software in C# and C++.
- Experience with Git or Git-based tools (GitLab/Bitbucket) and JIRA.
- Experience in Agile-based software development methodologies.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret DoD security clearance.

Pay Rate
The base salary range is USD 76,500 - 134,895 per year. This range applies to certain locations; final salary will reflect the candidate’s final work location and other factors.
