Adidev Technologies Inc is hiring an entry to mid-level iOS developer to design, build, and continuously improve large-scale iOS applications. This onsite role is based in San Diego, CA, with a fast-moving hiring process that may involve relocation depending on client assignment. The position focuses on shipping new features while maintaining performance, reliability, and clean code practices.
About the role
You will work with a team to define, design, and ship new functionality for iOS (and support for Android application work). The work includes troubleshooting issues, addressing bottlenecks, and maintaining consistent communication on day-to-day project progress and changing timelines. The role also expects you to complete any required coding tests or challenges as part of the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Design and build applications for the iOS or Android platform
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Support code quality, organization, and automatization
- Maintain positive rapport with clients
- Gather requirements and provide accurate, realistic project milestones and timelines
- Complete any coding tests or challenges as required
- Maintain open communication via phone, text, and email on a daily basis
- Provide daily project progress summaries
- Suggest new features and expansions that improve app performance and usability
- Deliver on time as discussed and clearly communicate any deadline changes as soon as possible
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Swift, Unit test automation, Agile, GitHub, and Objective-C
- Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data and Core Animation
- Familiarity with design patterns including MVC and MVVM
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs for connecting iOS apps to back-end services
- Experience integrating third-party APIs such as Facebook, Dropbox, Instagram, Twitter, GoogleDrive, Bluetooth, and Keychain
- Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
- Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
- Experience with performance and memory tuning using appropriate tools
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Understanding of iOS design patterns, coding conventions, Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, and App Store Review Guidelines
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (including Git, Mercurial, or SVN)
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Ability to write efficient, reusable, and maintainable Swift code
- Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform, including iPhone and iPad
- Excellent expertise in iOS SDK frameworks and fundamentals
- Must have managed at least one application live on the App Store

Location, schedule, and hiring urgency
This is an onsite position in San Diego, CA with no telecommuting/remote options. The company is conducting an urgent hire with a hiring process expected to move within 24 to 48 hours. You should be open to relocating to a new city or state based on client assignment. Project durations can range from 6 months to 18 months with possible extensions.
Compensation: USD 30 - 40 per hour. Experience: at least 1 year (entry and mid-level candidates with 1 to 2 years are targeted). Strong written and oral communication and teamwork are required, alongside a self-starting work style.
