Magid Glove & Safety Manufacturing Co, LLC invites you to join their Romeoville, IL on-site team as a Senior RPG Developer focused on Warehouse Management Systems. This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 112,500 – 187,500 per year and a benefits-rich environment designed to support you and your family. You will design, develop, and maintain RPG applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform to support WMS and supply chain processes, collaborating with business, operations, and IT teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain RPG applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform, delivering high-quality code that meets business requirements and specifications.
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize RPG applications to ensure robust system performance.
Analyze business requirements and propose innovative technical solutions in alignment with best practices; partner with cross-functional teams to define system specifications.
Manage databases with a strong SQL focus; design and optimize DB2 structures to support business needs and improve performance; oversee data migrations and ensure data integrity.
Provide 2nd/3rd level production support for RPG applications and the WMS, resolving complex technical issues in a timely manner.
Document system configurations, customizations, and processes; deliver regular status reports and project updates to management.
Mentor junior developers, share best practices and coding standards, participate in code reviews to promote high-quality delivery.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
5 to 7 years of RPG programming experience on the IBM i (AS/400) platform.
2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management and supply chain operations.
Expertise in RPG IV/ILE, CL, and SQL programming.
Familiarity with IBM i tools such as RDI, PDM, and SEU.
Solid understanding of DB2 and relational databases.
Experience with IBM i job scheduling and automation tools (for example, Job Scheduler).
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; able to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
