Job Description

FLX Local Media seeks a skilled Web Developer to design, develop, and optimize WordPress sites with an emphasis on performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain WordPress sites, including custom themes and plugins
Tailor themes and plugins to align with project specifications
Create responsive, mobile‑first layouts
Guarantee optimal performance, robust security, and scalable architecture
Enhance pages for SEO and fast loading times
Diagnose and fix WordPress issues through debugging
Conduct updates, backups, and ongoing site maintenance
Implement clean UI/UX designs
Adhere to WordPress coding standards and best practices

Requirements

Proven WordPress development experience
Solid proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
Experience building WordPress themes and plugins
Experience with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg
Knowledge of MySQL and WordPress database architecture
Understanding of security best practices and performance optimization
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Experience with WooCommerce and version control (git, etc)
Experience with AI productivity tools (examples include Cursor, Antigravity)
Familiarity with plugins like Custom Post Types and Advanced Custom Fields
Ability to work with integrations and APIs
