Software Engineer - Manufacturing Data Systems

Software Engineer for Manufacturing Data Systems at Coherent Corp. supporting the development of software tools, database capabilities, and fab support. The role includes executing ShermanData configuration updates driven by Engineering Change Order (ECO) requests and maintaining production software in an onsite environment in Sherman, TX.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to new development for current software tools.
• Perform database work, including building and updating queries, stored procedures, tables, and views.
• Provide Fab Support.
• Execute updates to ShermanData configuration based on Engineering Change Order (ECO) requests.
• Maintain production software.

Required Qualifications

• Self-starter attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet short deadlines.
• Ability to excel in cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of relational database concepts, with emphasis on Microsoft SQL Server.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the C# and .NET software programming environment.
• Demonstrated experience with subversion and/or code repositories such as Tortoise SVN, Git, or Microsoft Team Foundation Server.

Location and Work Arrangement

Sherman, TX (onsite). The role supports a climate-controlled office environment and requires flexibility to support a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Collaboration with others is expected both in person and remotely.
