Responsibilities

• Full stack development across the operating system, platform, and mission specific software layers
• Develop client and server applications and services using service or object oriented architectures and message bus based data exchange, including first of a kind capabilities
• Work with languages and tools such as Python, C++, Postgres, Ansible, cloud infrastructure provisioning, PKI, and static code analysis for remediation
• Act as a self starter capable of making decisions with the project budget and schedule in mind
• Support Operations ground software and related configurations, troubleshooting both software errors and hardware affecting ground software operations
• Support Acceptance Test events, including running tests
• Test automation
• Configure ground segment software
• Resolve and remediate software defects
• Deliver software enhancements driven by customer change requests or mission needs
• Provide ground software support during launch and launch rehearsal events
• Assist with the installation of new ground segment software in operational, development, and test environments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 5 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD in a STEM field. For the PhD path, an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree, with internships or research projects not counting toward this substitution
• Demonstrated software development experience
• Python application development, C++, Bash scripting experience
• U.S. Citizenship
• A current or active Top-Secret clearance is required at the time of application
