Job Description
Google's Infrastructure, Cloud Compute Infrastructure team seeks a Software Engineer III to help build and maintain large-scale infrastructure, participate in design discussions and code reviews, and contribute to documentation and issue triage. This onsite role is based in Kirkland, WA.

Compensation
Salary in the US ranges from USD 147,000 to USD 211,000 per year, plus a target bonus of 15%, equity, and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate code for products or systems.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
- Review code produced by others and provide feedback to promote best practices such as code style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve by analyzing sources of problems and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience programming in C++, Go, or Python.
- 2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
- Experience with machine learning infrastructure.
