Software Engineer I - Development - Req# 538

Join COCC's Strategic Development team, where the INSIGHT core banking platform is built across client-side, server-side, and database layers. As a Software Engineer I, you will collaborate with Product and Analysts within an agile environment and explore AI-driven improvements. This hybrid role is based in Southington, CT and offers a salary range of USD 86,000 - 120,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-value software solutions for clients, with clear documentation.
• Build client-side, server-side, and database components as part of cohesive solutions.
• Support yearly releases by implementing new enhancements, addressing bugs, and delivering client deliverables.
• Collaborate with the Product team and, when needed, vendors, to design and implement product functionality.
• Coordinate deployment activities with other departments, vendors, and technology teams.
• Leverage AI technology to craft innovative solutions and improve code quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience and/or certifications may be considered.
• 3-5 years of software development experience.
• Strong ability to investigate and analyze technical information and validate conclusions.
• Experience with client-server architectures, web applications, APIs, and related technologies.
• Experience designing and implementing graphical user interfaces.
• Familiarity with databases, networks, and SQL querying; Oracle and SQL Server experience preferred.
• Experience with some or all of the following languages and technologies: C#.NET, Angular, Angular.js, Angular JS, SQL, PL/SQL, ASP, ASP.net, Java Script, HTML, jQuery, CoffeeScript, CSS, XAML, AJAX, JSON, Oracle, SQL Server.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with staff and management at various levels.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule requiring 3 onsite days per week in Southington, CT.
