Software Engineer - Electronic Trading Analyst

A permanent role in New York, NY, joining Huxley’s Fixed Income electronic trading team, where software directly supports real-time, mission-critical pricing and trading workflows. You will design and enhance time-sensitive trading tools across the full development lifecycle using C# and .NET, working on both client and server components.

What you’ll do

• Build and improve trading tools supporting dealer-to-client and inter-dealer activity across global Fixed Income markets.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle for mission-critical, time-sensitive trading applications.
• Partner closely with traders, sales, and senior technologists to deliver practical enhancements.
• Design and implement real-time trading and pricing components on both the client and server sides.
• Create robust, maintainable architectures for complex trading workflows.

Key skills and experience

• Advanced C# and .NET: developing real-time trading and pricing components across client and server.
• Object-Oriented Design & Design Patterns (including MVVM): shaping maintainable architectures for complex trading workflows.
• Git-based source control: managing code versions and collaborating with the wider team.
• Agile / Scrum: working in iterative delivery cycles aligned with continuous delivery practices.
• Dependency Injection & Entity Framework: building modular, testable services and efficient data access layers.
• CI/CD (using TeamCity and Jenkins): working with established pipelines for build, test, and deployment.
• Multithreaded / concurrent systems: handling high-throughput, low-latency trading operations safely and efficiently.
• Fixed Income knowledge (preferred): understanding products and market structure to map trading needs into technical solutions.
• Electronic trading platforms (preferred): prior exposure to venues such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb, BrokerTec, or similar.
