This onsite Software Engineer 2 role at Amazon.com Services LLC is based in Redmond, WA, with a salary range of USD 143,700 to 194,400 per year. The position supports the Leo Security Assurance team’s governance, risk, and compliance tooling efforts, designing autonomous AI agents to orchestrate compliance workflows, automating tasks by integrating data sources with AWS infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop software, establish CI/CD pipelines, implement test automation, and create dashboards to monitor the health of systems and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements, design, build, deploy, and operate the infrastructure you create.
• Provide mentorship and onboarding for junior engineers and new team members.
• Design and deliver a reliable cloud service that ensures connectivity for customers.
• Contribute features that improve service quality and security for customers.
• Work across multiple teams to build networking capabilities on AWS cloud infrastructure and establish software development best practices.

Requirements

• Three or more years of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
• Three or more years of design or architecture experience in developing or maintaining systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
• At least one year of object-oriented design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
