Senior Software Engineer Remote/Travel- Active TS/SCI clearance(or SCI-eligibility)

Oteemo, Inc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a remote-enabled role with occasional travel, supporting DoD and commercial clients from a base near Reston, VA. The position emphasizes graph data modeling, real-time data processing, and cloud deployments guided by DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps practices, with GenAI/ML techniques applied to graph and NoSQL challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement graph data models to capture intricate system relationships, workflows, and time-dependent processes using Neo4j, Gremlin, or equivalent graph tooling.
• Develop backend services for web applications and contribute to frontend work as needed to deliver complete, production-grade features.
• Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data with a strong focus on data quality.
• Engineer real-time and event-streaming workflows that manage high-velocity, sequential data flows.
• Deploy and operate enterprise applications in cloud environments using containers and orchestration, applying DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps practices.
• Apply GenAI/ML techniques, including GraphRAG, to graph-related and NoSQL data challenges.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and API tests to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Run simulations and apply advanced analytics in Python to address complex mission problems.
• Align data engineering approaches with large-scale interconnected systems to ensure adaptability and scalability.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance (or SCI-eligibility), ideally with past or current DoD SAP/SAR access.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, machine learning, applied statistics, or mathematics) or equivalent experience, with 7–8 years of relevant work.
• Proven experience with graph databases and analytics (Neo4j, Gremlin, or similar) and query languages like Cypher or Gremlin; ability to model complex relationships and workflows.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Node.js, or Go, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Experience delivering full-stack solutions, building back-end services and contributing to front-end development as needed.
• Extensive data engineering experience across ETL, data quality, and working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data; familiarity with event streaming and real-time, high-velocity data.
• Practical knowledge of software engineering best practices, including DevOps, DataOps, MLOps, containerization (Docker), and orchestration.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks and cloud platforms, focusing on deploying enterprise applications in the cloud.
• Strong testing skills, including unit and integration/API testing, ensuring robust, scalable systems.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and graph-related problems, including GenAI/ML approaches like GraphRAG.
• Proven ability to align data engineering methods with large-scale interconnected systems for adaptability and scalability.
