Senior Software Engineer – Oracle PL/SQL
Job Description
Zip Staff Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep, current Oracle PL/SQL experience to build and support production-ready database features.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and related `data pipelines`
- Deliver features end-to-end: technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support
- Write clean, performant, testable, and maintainable PL/SQL code
- Tune queries and database logic for performance and scalability
- Perform unit and integration testing and participate in code reviews
- Work within Jenkins-based CI/CD workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and help raise the technical bar on the team
Requirements
- Strong, current, hands-on Oracle PL/SQL expertise (core focus of the role)
- Ability to be fully productive on day one with advanced PL/SQL development and debugging
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant PL/SQL development
- Proven experience with query development, performance tuning, and stored procedures and packages
- Experience with CI tooling; Jenkins strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices: unit testing, code reviews, and version control
- Analytical and problem-solving skills

Location: Blue Bell, PA (onsite / in person)
Compensation: USD 56 - 59 per hourly
