Senior Software Engineer– Engineering Acceleration, Hyperscale Line of Business

Everpure is investing in engineering acceleration for high-toil workflows, and you can help build shared developer tooling that teams rely on every day. This onsite role in Santa Clara pairs hands-on software development with productizing internal tools, using modern tooling to move quickly while keeping systems maintainable, correct, and safe.

What you’ll do

• Design and build shared tools for high-toil engineering workflows, including triage, rebase/payload, and release, taking work from prototype to supported, documented, reliable capabilities.
• Prototype and iterate rapidly using AI-assisted development, adjusting as requirements evolve.
• Use engineering metrics and monitoring to identify workflow friction and improve developer velocity across the organization.
• Apply strong design and architecture judgment so fast-moving developer tools remain maintainable, correct, and safe to depend on.
• Implement robust software and clean interfaces for daily-use tools and services, including REST, gRPC, and CLI.
• Partner with Tech Leads and Managers to shape technical roadmaps for developer tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers, participate in deep code reviews, and help drive operational excellence such as incident response, change management, and build observability.
• Work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.

What you bring

• 6+ years of production software engineering experience, calibrated for MTS4/Senior level, focused on developer productivity, tooling, or platform engineering.
• Strong mastery of Python and C++ in production Linux environments. Familiarity with Go or Java is a plus.
• Experience building internal tools or developer-facing software and converting prototypes into shared, supported tools, including containerization (Docker) for reproducible environments, plus fluency with AI coding tools.
• Hands-on experience designing clean interfaces using gRPC, REST, and CLI.
• Comfort using engineering metrics and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, fb303, scribe, and t-digest to diagnose friction and measure improvement.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation and location

Location: Santa Clara, CA (onsite)

Salary: USD 180,000 - 270,000 per year
