Job Description

Responsibilities
- System installation and configuration: deploy and configure ISA-95 Level 3 systems (SCADA, BES, Historian, MES, CMMS, LIMS) following AG practices and industry standards, and integrate with Level 2 and Level 4 systems.
- Real-time data integration: establish real-time data collection to ensure seamless flow from OT layers (PLC, SCADA) to enterprise systems such as ERP and data lakes.
- Contextualization and data flow: implement solutions that transform real-time OT data into actionable insights for decision making.
- Data enablement: configure and integrate manufacturing data hubs or Unified Namespace for accessible data management across OT and IT.
- Data visualization and analytics: implement Operational Intelligence and Industry Solutions to address date-driven use cases.
- System support and troubleshooting: provide ongoing OT application support and keep systems running efficiently.
- Cross-team collaboration: partner with AG, customer, and partner OT architects, IT teams, and business units to ensure correct configurations and proper data integration.
- Mentoring junior engineers: guide and develop junior engineers, supporting skill growth and adherence to best practices.
- Knowledge management and best practices: contribute to internal documentation, troubleshooting guides, and standardized procedures, while helping improve process and data solution practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years in operational technology, industrial automation, digital manufacturing, or data engineering
- Minimum 4-year degree in Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in process manufacturing or operations such as Pharma, Biotech, Food & Beverage, Chemical, or Energy
- Hands-on experience with OT applications and systems (SCADA, DCS, Historians, MES, CMMS)
- Hands-on experience with scripting or programming and relational SQL
- Experience with real-time data integration, contextualization, and data flows
- Strong problem-solving skills for processes and systems
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
- English proficiency C1 or higher (speaking, reading, writing)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Work Environment
Location preference is Houston, TX. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement for on-site work in Houston and remote work if located elsewhere. Travel is dynamic and may total up to 50 percent, with about 75 percent of travel in North America and 25 percent outside the region to company, customer, and event locations worldwide. Physical requirements include use of PPE, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and the need to walk, stand, or climb for extended periods, as well as navigating indoor and outdoor industrial environments with varying weather and terrain.
