Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Uber Freight Marketplace is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to modernize and own end-to-end machine learning for the UF marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ML models for the UF marketplace, including cost prediction and booking probability
• Extend modeling to additional marketplace signals such as demand elasticity and related use cases
• Partner with backend engineers to productionize models
• Ensure models work as expected after deployment and maintain model performance in production

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing ML models to solve business problems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks, including PyTorch
• Adaptive development of ML models to match the business context is critical
• Product experience is a strong plus for this role
• Previous experience with state-of-the-art marketplace technology is preferred
• Experience with causal inference and constrained optimization

Salary

• USD 202,000 - 224,000 per year

Work Model

• Unless approved for full remote work, employees must spend at least 50% of their time in-office
