Senior Lead Data Engineer

Information Technology Senior Management Forum is seeking a Senior Lead Data Engineer to guide data engineering initiatives from its Chicago on-site location. The role centers on designing and delivering cloud-based data solutions while mentoring engineers and collaborating with Agile teams and cross-functional partners to solve complex business problems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
• Lead a development team with deep expertise in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems.
• Work with Java, Scala, Python and open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake.
• Share a passion for staying current with technology trends, experimenting with new technologies, engaging in internal and external technology communities, and mentoring other engineers.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower experiences for millions of Americans pursuing financial empowerment.
• Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure designs are rigorous, code is clean, and performance is optimized.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 6 years of experience in application development (internship experience does not apply)
• At least 2 years of experience with big data technologies
• At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
