Senior Full Stack Developer - Soccer Technology

Senior full stack developer to build TOCA Football's soccer training technology across web and native apps, including backend APIs, admin dashboards, training apps, and customer portals, onsite in Costa Mesa, CA, with emphasis on end-to-end ownership and AI-native development.

Responsibilities

• Own feature development end to end across web and native platforms, from ideation to production release.
• Collaborate with design, product, and engineering to translate specs into shippable features.
• Implement clean, well tested TypeScript across client and server components.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions to raise quality.
• Deliver software in iterative cycles, incorporating production feedback and refinements.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and agents to boost speed and quality.
• Coordinate technical work across internal teams and external contributors.
• Improve software organization, documentation, workflows, and cross-project visibility.
• Contribute to evolving TOCA's development processes toward AI-first automation.
• Explore AI agents, automation, and modern tooling to enhance speed, QA, support, and operations.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of professional experience building full-stack web and/or native applications.
• Strong working knowledge of React and the modern React ecosystem.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience building backends with Node.js.
• Ability to own a feature from implementation through deployment.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, agents, or similar workflows.
• Interest in AI-native development workflows, agents, and software automation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Comfort coordinating technical efforts across multiple projects and contributors.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and comfort in a startup-style environment.
