Senior Full Stack Developer Python / Angular (24/7 Banking Systems)

The Senior Full Stack Developer role will support a Tier-1 Japanese Trust Bank in New York City, delivering and maintaining 24/7 mission-critical financial applications in a hybrid work model. The engagement is long-term contract and focuses on building a modern Angular front end, Python API back end, and resilient infrastructure for high availability.

Role Overview

You will build and operate end-to-end features across the user interface and back-end services. Responsibilities include developing responsive Angular/TypeScript applications, implementing Python (Django/Flask) APIs, ensuring high availability through robust architecture, and participating in incident handling activities that include investigation, recovery execution, and permanent fixes.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize responsive front-end interfaces using Angular and TypeScript, integrated with robust back-end APIs developed in Python (Django or Flask).
• Architect solutions for high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery within a 24/7 production environment.
• Design database schemas and tune high-performance SQL across RDBMS platforms including MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Amazon RDS.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor infrastructure on AWS using EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Support incident handling by conducting initial investigations, performing root cause analyses, executing recovery actions, and implementing permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with InfoSec, QA, project managers, and external vendors to align technical delivery with business requirements and regulatory audit standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience using Python (Django or Flask) and Angular / TypeScript / JavaScript.
• Demonstrated experience with schema design, indexing, and SQL performance tuning on RDBMS such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Direct experience operating in Linux environments and working with cloud computing platforms (preferably AWS).
• Hands-on experience with system monitoring (for example, CloudWatch) and version control and DevOps pipelines using TFS / Azure DevOps.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation / shift schedule, including evening, weekend, or holiday response when incidents arise.

• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines and establishing auto-scaling and redundancy mechanisms.
