Senior Embedded Software Engineer

ScioTeq BV builds rugged smart display and computer products, and they need a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to take ownership of embedded feature implementation and platform support. In this onsite role in Duluth, GA 30097, you will help deliver embedded Linux capabilities, support existing products through troubleshooting, and keep software configuration and release timing on track.

You will also invest time in evaluating emerging technologies and tools that can improve how ScioTeq develops and deploys embedded software for future product needs.

Responsibilities

• Implement embedded software features based on requirements for new products and customer-specific customizations
• Deploy and configure an embedded Linux operating system
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting existing product releases
• Administer software configuration management and maintain release schedules
• Conduct research into related emerging technologies and tools

Requirements

• 7-15 years of embedded software design experience
• BSEE, BSCS, or BSCE required
• Strong C/C++ coding and debugging expertise
• Proven experience with Linux on embedded systems, with Yocto preferred
• Experience designing real-time embedded software systems
• Hardware abstraction and board bring up experience highly desired
• ARM secure boot experience preferred
• Experience setting up and maintaining a development environment, including tools, servers, and a source code control system
• Algorithmic application development and optimization experience
• Self-motivated team player
• Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• US Person required
