What we offer

Join TTM Technologies' Aerospace & Defense Radar/Surveillance team in Farmingdale, NY, onsite, and contribute to embedded software for radar, surveillance, and communications systems. This senior role delivers a competitive USD 122,655 - 215,704 per year salary range, a comprehensive benefits package, and a collaborative, continuous-improvement culture. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and sustain robust embedded software for safety-critical applications using modern C++, embedded Linux (PetaLinux), and RTOS.
  • Support the end-to-end software life cycle for embedded systems to meet industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop software verification plans, test procedures, and environments; execute tests and document results to verify requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the development team.
  • Generate software requirement specifications based on system design specifications.
  • Develop top-level architecture and detailed designs for software components and systems.
  • Define and document interfaces between software components and larger systems.
  • Support verification and validation activities including hardware/software integration, design verification testing, acceptance tests, and customer-witnessed testing.
  • Provide hardware resource utilization estimates and measurements.
  • Present at customer meetings such as Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, and Technical Interchange Meetings.
  • Generate schedule inputs for cost and schedule planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of related experience.
  • Extensive experience with modern C++ and real-time operating systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps tools; GitLab, Jenkins, Git Bash, Jira, and Artifactory are a plus.
  • Experience with real-time embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design methodology.
  • Experience with the full software development life cycle.
  • Knowledge of radar, surveillance, and communications systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • US citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
