Job Description

Uline is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design BI and data warehouse solutions, build data engineering processes, and maintain ETL and analytics platforms for an onsite role in Waukegan, IL with a salary range of USD 96,000 - 148,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business users to design and implement BI and data warehouse solutions.
  • Work with project leads, analysts, and stakeholders to deploy and test data warehouse applications.
  • Develop complex data engineering workflows to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Perform unit, performance, and regression testing on ETL mappings.
  • Adhere to coding standards, participate in code reviews, and improve quality practices.
  • Coordinate production deployments and work with cross-functional teams to execute releases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Proven ability to write complex T-SQL and optimize database performance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve data-related issues.
  • Knowledge of SSIS, Python, Azure, Snowflake or Databricks is a plus.
  • Uline does not participate in the H1-B lottery.
