Senior Appian Developer/Architect

Senior Appian Developer and Architect role for CGI Federal focused on hands-on Appian development, solution design, and end-to-end delivery within an Agile team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Appian applications including SAIL interfaces, process models and workflows, expressions and rules.
• Implement CDTs, Records, reports/dashboards, and Sites.
• Define data stores, integrations, and security/configuration for applications.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and end-to-end workflow implementations.
• Create and maintain integrations with external systems and data sources using APIs, including databases, REST/web services, and LDAP/AD when applicable.
• Perform unit testing, conduct peer reviews, triage defects, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance for quality delivery.
• Produce and maintain delivery artifacts such as solution/design documentation, architecture diagrams, and other technical materials.
• Collaborate within an Agile team (Scrum/Kanban) with product, UX, QA, DevOps, and architecture stakeholders.
• Participate in design and implementation reviews prior to production to ensure operational readiness, resiliency, risk management, and performance.
• Support production operations as needed, including incident investigation, issue remediation, and continuous improvement recommendations.
• Share knowledge and provide mentorship to teammates as appropriate.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building solutions on the Appian platform, including SAIL, workflows/process models, CDTs/Records, and integrations.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into working solutions with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
