Principal Syndigo Riversand Architect – Hands-On Senior Developer

This onsite contract at Myticas Consulting seeks a principal level Syndigo / Riversand Architect who also serves as a hands-on senior developer. The role is responsible for the end-to-end architecture and development of master data management and product information management solutions within enterprise environments, acting as the technical authority and driving hands-on implementation of scalable Syndigo / MDM solutions. The position is based in Chicago, IL and requires on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Provide principal level expertise as a Syndigo / Riversand Architect and hands-on subject matter expert, combining architecture leadership with active development.
• Own end-to-end architecture and development across MDM and PIM solutions in enterprise environments.
• Serve as the technical authority, bridging architecture, design, and deep hands-on coding capabilities.
• Lead solution design while actively contributing to the build, rather than serving in a pure oversight role.
• Deliver scalable, high-performance Syndigo / MDM implementations.
• Apply deep knowledge of data modeling, product data structures, and governance frameworks.
• Engage in hands-on development using Java / J2EE or equivalent within enterprise platforms.
• Demonstrate strong experience with integrations including APIs, middleware, and data pipelines across complex ecosystems.
• Shape the MDM strategy, architecture, and implementation roadmap.
• Conduct code reviews, validate solutions, and optimize performance.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and executable builds.
• Lead and mentor teams while remaining actively involved in development delivery.
• Leverage experience from consulting or multi-client delivery environments.
• Show a proven ability to own delivery, troubleshoot deeply, and resolve complex data challenges.
• Prior experience with Riversand PIM (now part of Syndigo) is highly preferred.
• Reside in Chicago and be on-site for the full duration of the contract.
• Maintain a hands-on approach as a core working style throughout the engagement.

• Proven capability to own delivery, troubleshoot deeply, and resolve intricate data challenges.
• Prefer prior experience with Riversand PIM (now part of Syndigo).
• Reside in Chicago and be available for on-site, full-time engagement.
