Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple departments to identify bottlenecks, obsolete technologies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assess and propose solutions, including third party products, workflow enhancements, or in-house applications
  • Recommend new digital approaches to boost productivity and minimize manual tasks
  • Train new users and other stakeholders on the implemented solutions to ensure smooth deployment and long-term support
  • Create clear, audience-tailored documentation for new solutions that remains up to date
  • Plan and monitor project progress, measure success, and report outcomes to leadership
  • Foster a kaizen mindset by continually identifying and implementing improvements
  • Represent the IT Department effectively across the company, becoming a technical partner for teams beyond the usual scope

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and/or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills, with the ability to engage with staff at various levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate challenges to management as needed
  • Motivation and a kaizen mindset to innovate and continuously improve guidelines and procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional Software, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Strong technical understanding of computer systems and digital processes
  • Programming knowledge in C#, C++, Java, or Python is preferred but not required
  • Understanding of business processes such as ERP systems, EDI, logistics, and how technology can improve operations is a plus
  • Manufacturing knowledge, including APQP, TQM, and kaizen, is highly encouraged
