Power Platform Developer
Job Description
Power Platform Developer role for Bright Star Solutions LLC to design, implement, and maintain Power Platform and SharePoint solutions for CBP; full-time, hybrid in Washington, DC, reporting to a Senior Technical Lead.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modeling and transformations that convert CBP datasets into actionable insights
- Create and configure SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, permissions, and workflows to enable team collaboration, document management, and automated processes
- Build custom Power Apps to replace manual tasks and boost operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain Power Automate flows that integrate SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, and Microsoft 365 services
- Assess existing business processes to identify automation opportunities, improvements, and enhanced reporting
- Translate business and operational requirements into technical Power Platform and SharePoint solutions
- Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and document workflows and automation solutions
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver effective solutions
Requirements
- Expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform components: Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse
- Strong experience with SharePoint Online, including site configuration, lists and libraries, permissions, and integration with Power Platform
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail, commitment to quality, and solid troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work in a team or independently to design and implement technical solutions from loosely defined requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust clearance; US citizenship required

Role description
Bright Star is seeking an experienced Power Platforms Developer to support CBP in a full-time hybrid role. You will work with a Senior Technical Lead to design, build, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and SharePoint-based applications. The goal is to streamline mission-critical workflows and deliver actionable insights to CBP stakeholders across a large federal agency.
