Job Description

Onsite mobile engineering, relocation supported: Adidev Technologies Inc builds and maintains large-scale iOS and Android applications for prominent clients. This role is based onsite in California City, CA, with mandatory relocation for client assignments that typically run 6 to 18 months (extensions possible). You will work closely with a team and clients, supported by remote assistance even when assignments change.

Compensation and support

  • Competitive pay: $60k to $85k, or $30/hr to $40/hr (depending on experience)

What you’ll do

As an entry to mid-senior level iOS and Android Developer, you will contribute to the full lifecycle of mobile applications. Your work will focus on design, development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance, with an emphasis on quality and responsiveness.

  • Design, develop, and enhance applications for either iOS or Android
  • Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness across the app experience
  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and implement new features
  • Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and maintain code quality
  • Suggest improvements to existing applications
  • Establish effective communication with clients and maintain a positive rapport
  • Gather requirements and provide accurate project milestones and timelines for completion
  • Complete coding tests or challenges when required
  • Maintain consistent communication using phone, text, and email
  • Deliver projects on time and communicate changes promptly

Key requirements

This is an onsite role with client-based relocation. Candidates should bring a solid foundation in mobile architecture, core platform knowledge, and testing practices.

  • 1+ years of experience
  • Strong understanding of MVC / MVVM architectural patterns
  • Proficiency in Java and Kotlin (at least 1 year of experience)
  • Published at least 1 application on the Play Store
  • Familiarity with the Android SDK, Android versions, and screen size adaptability
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Espresso and JUnit
  • Knowledge of mobile data storage using SQLite and Room
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs for back-end integration
  • Comfortable with GIT and SVN (source control)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including milestone and timeline accuracy
  • Self-leadership and a strong work ethic
  • A portfolio with impactful mobile application releases is a significant advantage
  • Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C (at least 1 year of experience)
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Coco touch, Combine, and Core Animation
  • Familiarity with design patterns (MVC, Singleton)
  • Thorough understanding of offline storage, threading, and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs for connecting iOS apps to back-end services
  • Experience with third-party API integrations (for example Facebook, Dropbox)
  • Familiarity with UI/UX standards and Apple’s design principles
  • Knowledge of C-based libraries preferred
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning tools
  • Proficient with code versioning tools (for example Git)

Role logistics: This is a full-time position (W2 or Contract 1099), 40 hours per week, and no telecommuting or remote positions are available.
