The Math Test Developer II supports Cambium Assessment by creating mathematics content and item pools for statewide standardized assessments, contributing across the development lifecycle from specification through review.

Join the Cambium Assessment math team as a Test Developer II. Cambium Assessment is a leader in statewide online assessments, combining advanced technology with content expertise to develop standardized assessments for kindergarten through high school students. The Test Developer II will focus on mathematics content and test development, serving as a key contributor within the team.
Responsibilities
- Apply state item specifications to craft effective items for multiple projects
- Conduct preliminary and content reviews independently
- Lead educator content review meetings, rubric validation meetings, range finding meetings, data review meetings, and standard setting meetings
- Draft blueprints and translate them into item pool development plans
- Oversee math item pool development for a project
- Maintain independent communication with state clients
- May serve as a Math Content Lead for a project or as a Team Lead for an internal team
Requirements
- Education and experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with 5-8 years of experience in math assessment or math education-related fields, or a Master’s degree with 3-6 years of related experience
- Strong knowledge and experience with U.S. education and education assessment
- Analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Capability to identify problems and conceptualize solutions
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Collaborative mindset and strong teamwork skills
- Travel requirement ranges from 1 week to 8 weeks per year, with typical engagements lasting 2-6 days per trip
Location
US remote work arrangement. Candidates must reside and work within the United States.
