Machine Learning Engineer
Job Description
Somatus, Inc. is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer in McLean, VA (onsite) to build and deploy ML solutions within its data-driven care platform.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with ML engineers, data engineers, software developers, product managers, data analysts, and clinical and operations teams to deliver impactful machine learning solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI and ML projects, from ideation and data/feature engineering through model training, evaluation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Design and maintain pipelines for training, evaluating, and deploying models.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, causal inference, and other advanced analytics to reveal meaningful insights.
- Advise stakeholders on experimentation best practices and assist with designing and implementing A/B/n testing as needed.
- Stay updated on developments in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technology to inform project work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with 1+ years in a machine learning related role, or PhD.
- Minimum 1 year of Python experience.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Git and issue tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Familiarity with Linux and the command line interface.

Compensation
- Salary range: $105,000 to $115,000 per year
- Compensation is market-aligned and may vary based on qualifications and location; a discretionary performance-based bonus may be offered per applicable incentive plans
