Somatus, Inc. is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer in McLean, VA (onsite) to build and deploy ML solutions within its data-driven care platform.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with ML engineers, data engineers, software developers, product managers, data analysts, and clinical and operations teams to deliver impactful machine learning solutions.
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI and ML projects, from ideation and data/feature engineering through model training, evaluation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Design and maintain pipelines for training, evaluating, and deploying models.
Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, causal inference, and other advanced analytics to reveal meaningful insights.
Advise stakeholders on experimentation best practices and assist with designing and implementing A/B/n testing as needed.
Stay updated on developments in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technology to inform project work.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree with 1+ years in a machine learning related role, or PhD.
Minimum 1 year of Python experience.
Experience with relational databases and SQL.
Understanding of software engineering best practices and the software development lifecycle.
Experience with Git and issue tracking tools such as JIRA.
Familiarity with Linux and the command line interface.

Compensation

Salary range: $105,000 to $115,000 per year
Compensation is market-aligned and may vary based on qualifications and location; a discretionary performance-based bonus may be offered per applicable incentive plans
