Responsibilities

• Build AI and ML systems for search, ranking, and recommendations
• Develop retrieval and generation workflows for large language models
• Enhance search and ranking relevance using real user signals
• Design metrics, run experiments, and iterate on approaches
• Monitor model quality, latency, and cost in production
• Debug data, model, and system issues to maintain reliability
• Construct training, inference, and evaluation pipelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics with a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with no required experience
• Experience building ML models in Python and solid fundamentals in software engineering and algorithms
• Experience developing backend services in Java or Kotlin for ML driven features
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable production code
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data, using SQL for large‑scale queries, and building scalable data pipelines
• Experience integrating ML models into search systems using engines such as OpenSearch, with familiarity in containerization and deployment guidance
• Strong understanding of model evaluation techniques, feature engineering, experiment design, and familiarity with LLM systems (RAG, embeddings, output evaluation)
