Responsibilities

  • Synthesize business requirements and translate them into technology solutions that fit product goals.
  • Provide architectural and technical guidance for product development and database design for JavaScript, C/C++, C#, and SQL based solutions.
  • Develop and execute software engineering plans, manage schedules and resource allocations, and coordinate joint development with 3rd party vendors and outsourced teams.
  • Establish and maintain software engineering processes to ensure reproducible, high‑quality development while controlling costs and delivering on time.
  • Monitor technology trends and explore emerging standards for new opportunities.
  • Think strategically, balancing immediate needs with longer‑term business priorities.
  • Champion new ideas across cross‑functional teams, building trust and confidence with peers and business partners.
  • Develop software, shape architectures, perform designs, and create proofs of concept to build applications that support Ecolab’s dispensing and IoT equipment system.
  • Collaborate with team members to integrate software and hardware developed by other Ecolab divisions and across full‑stack IoT end node solutions.
  • Participate in SCRUM/Agile software development processes and work with product owners to define User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Apply DevOps practices to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience with C or C++ in embedded firmware development.
  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and/or C# for UI/HMI development.
  • Experience in microcontroller based or System‑On‑a‑Module (SOM) application development.
  • Developed software projects for at least one of Linux, macOS, or Windows.
  • Proven track record in estimates, planning, and delivering with accountability.
  • Experience leading large scale software development initiatives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with business, engineering, and R&D teams to translate needs to Application Development teams.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $120,500.00 to $180,700.00 per year. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on performance, per plan terms.
