The Lead Generative AI Data Engineer III will drive end-to-end ML and AI solution delivery, supervise data pipelines, and steer AI engineering workstreams while mentoring teammates. This on-site role is based in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of ML and AI solutions for both business and client scenarios.
Direct AI engineering workstreams by assigning tasks, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring quality, timeliness, and issue resolution across the team.
Create and manage data pipelines, model training workflows, and production-grade components that support AI enabled products.
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, product stakeholders, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and guide technical decisions.
Provide coaching and mentorship to junior practitioners, offer day-to-day guidance, and monitor model and application performance to improve accuracy, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
Seven or more years of professional experience.
At least five years designing, developing, or deploying ML, AI, or advanced analytics solutions.
Three or more years programming with Python, PySpark, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
Two or more years of technology consulting experience in the state government or local government space.
Two or more years leading technical teams, projects, or workstreams supporting AI or ML solution delivery.
One or more years working with AI technologies such as Gemini, Anthropic, and OpenAI.
Active or advanced certifications in Python, PySpark, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
Ability to travel approximately 20 percent, depending on assignments.
Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
