iOS Developer Tools Engineer - Car Experience, Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems

Apple’s Car Experience Systems Engineering team is looking for a Development and Tools Engineer to build and improve automotive system simulation tools, while supporting how iPhone and vehicles communicate. This role focuses on reference designs, testing and simulation tooling, and collaboration with automotive partners for iOS feature integration.

Role Overview

You will support the development and testing of new and existing automotive iOS features by producing reference designs and by designing test and simulation tools. You will also communicate with automotive partners to assist their integration efforts, helping ensure iOS functionality aligns with automotive system requirements.

Requirements

• Experience with and/or understanding of wireless and networking technologies.
• Video/graphics and audio processing experience is preferred.
• Experience developing interfaces used for automated tests is preferred.
• Experience with Unix/Linux is preferred.
• 5+ years of software development experience on iOS and/or macOS platforms using C/C++/Objective-C/Swift, including frameworks, application development, and user interface experience (preferred).
• Experience creating system test and validation tools.
• Experience developing software released to production environments.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and design.

Salary

The base pay range for this role is USD 150,400 - 277,600 per year. Base pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
