Front End Developer – Mid-level - TS/SCI Clearance Required

Maximus seeks a mid-level Front End Developer for a full-time, remote role in the United States. The position emphasizes front-end design and development with a GUI and UX focus within a DoD DevSecOps context. An active Secret clearance or above is required, with TS/SCI highly preferred. The role is remote and contingent upon contract award and position availability; a contingent offer will be issued and become final only upon successful contract award and authorization to proceed.

Responsibilities

• Provides subject matter proficiency for the work described in the task.
• Brings analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and requirements definition.
• Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architecture, and related management and technical tasks.
• Demonstrates expertise in specialty areas as part of the role.
• Performs front-end design and development tasks, including creating technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and other documentation for PMO and stakeholder review; plans and implements modifications to GUIs; constructs and optimizes UI elements; improves navigation practices; and supports user-facing feature development for operator ease of use.

Minimum Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance or above required, TS/SCI highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• A Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Seven years of experience in the functional area.
• Seven years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages, with the ability to apply multiple DevSecOps tool suites, microservices, and containers.
• Three years of experience with bug tracking software (Jira).
• Three years of recent and relevant experience in front-end web design and development.
• Three years of experience testing web-based applications.
• Three years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
• Five years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• Five years of experience with at least five of the following technologies: Apache, Ember, JavaScript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node.
• Demonstrated experience engaging in agile, user-centric application design with strong UI/UX standards.
• Demonstrated experience generating system wireframes and mockups considering multiple user personas.
• Demonstrated experience preparing, conducting, and documenting system tests to verify operability and compliance with standards and requirements.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience using Agile Test-Driven development.
• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
• Five years of experience with CI/CD software development.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing UX design tool suites such as Sketch or InVision.
