Front End Developer – Mid-level

Maximus partners with federal agencies to support mission critical programs across national security, defense, and public service delivery. This Front End Developer role is onsite in Fort Meade, MD, full-time, and requires a TS/SCI clearance. Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise for tasks within the assigned work stream.
• Apply analytical skills to support process improvements, specialized studies, and the definition of requirements.
• Engage in analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, creating procedures, and shaping functional architecture along with related management and technical duties.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge in specialty areas to guide front end efforts.
• Execute front end design and development tasks such as producing technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and associated documentation for PMO and stakeholders; plan and implement modifications to graphical user interfaces; build and optimize UI elements; enhance system navigation; and support user friendly development of customer facing features.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• On-site reporting in Fort Meade, MD up to five days per week based on customer requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; a Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Seven years of experience in the functional area.
• Seven years of software development experience in object oriented and scripted languages, with the ability to apply multiple tool suites related to DevSecOps, microservices and containers.
• Three years of experience with bug tracking software (Jira).
• Three years of recent and relevant experience performing front end web design and development.
• Three years of experience testing web based applications.
• Three years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
• Five years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• Five years of experience with at least five of the following technologies: Apache, Ember, JavaScript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node.
• Proven experience with agile, user centric application design and strong UI/UX standards.
• Experience generating system wireframes and mockups for multiple user personas.
• Experience preparing and documenting various system tests to verify operability and compliance with project standards.
• Hands-on experience developing in a cloud environment.
• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.
