Fashion Designer / Product Developer

Mab Labz is seeking a Fashion Designer / Product Developer to support the creation of clothing collections from initial concept through production. This role combines creative design with practical development work, including production documentation, material sourcing, and coordination with manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Research fashion trends, styles, and collection inspiration to inform new designs.
• Develop clothing designs and create complete, production-ready tech packs.
• Source and select fabrics, materials, and blends for each collection.
• Communicate directly with manufacturers to support development and production.
• Manage sampling, revisions, and the overall product development process.

Requirements

• Understanding of the fashion market and consumer trends.
• Knowledge of fabrics, materials, and garment construction.
• Ability to produce detailed tech packs suitable for manufacturing.
• Experience working directly with clothing manufacturers.

Work Location

This position is based in Chicago, IL and is available remote.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $40,000 - $50,000 per year.
