ETL Talend Developer

Concept Solutions Inc is hiring an ETL Talend Developer for a remote contract engagement (1099). If you enjoy building and maintaining Talend-based data pipelines that ingest, transform, and aggregate information, this role puts your ETL expertise to work end to end. The position offers up to $70.00 per hour and requires US citizenship to support work authorization needs.

What you’ll do

• Develop and support Talend-based ETL workflows for ingesting, transforming, and aggregating data.
• Build and maintain ETL solutions using Talend, including Talend Hash Map Development.
• Create framework-based data integration solutions using the Talend toolset.
• Perform data profiling and support data migration activities using ETL methodology for Extraction, Transformation, and Loading with Talend.
• Implement complex business rules through reusable transformations and robust mappings.
• Demonstrate expertise creating Talend mappings using components and flows such as Map Join, Replicate, Parallelize, ConvertType, Aggregate, SortRow, FlowMeter, LogCatcher, RowGenerator, Normalize, Denormalize, SetGlobalVar, HashInput, HashOutput, Java, Javarow, AggregateRow, MysqlScd, Filter, Global map, and Die.
• Follow ETL methodologies and best practices when creating Talend ETL jobs, including adherence to naming standards.
• Provide technical support, guidance, and consultation for issues related to supported applications.
• Bring a Java Development background (plus).

What you’ll bring

• Legal right to work in the U.S. (US citizenship required).
• Minimum 10 years of IT industry experience, including 5+ years in data warehouse architecture, ETL design, and development.
• SQL experience: 9 years (required) to write complex SQL for analysis and troubleshooting.
• Talend: 5 years (required).
• Data warehouse: 4 years (required).
• ETL (Talend): 3 years (required).
• Strong skills across data analysis, data architecture, data cleansing, and data quality.
• Experience with data integration tools including Talend (also listed: Informatica, DataStage).
• Database technology experience with Redshift, Aurora, Oracle, Teradata, and Vertica.
• Experience with the ETL (Talend) data layer and Tableau.
• Strong technical experience with industry-standard CI/CD methods.
• Azure is preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex issues and ideas with absolute precision and clarity.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s education and any ETL certification.
• Work history expectation: a progressive career with good tenure, including spending at least 4 years with each employer.
