Job Description
Columbus, OH on-site ETL and SQL Developer role focused on production support for critical financial applications, offering USD 95,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain intricate SQL queries, stored procedures, and related database objects
- Create and optimize ETL pipelines with SSIS to enable data integration and transformation
- Monitor production jobs, troubleshoot issues, and drive timely resolutions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to elicit requirements and deliver solutions
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring problems
- Contribute to performance tuning and optimization of database systems
- Document technical processes and maintain the system knowledge base
Requirements
- Seven or more years of experience in application development and production support
- Strong expertise with MS SQL Server, including T-SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization
- More than five years of hands-on ETL development using SSIS
- At least one year of Python experience
- Experience with batch scripting and Groovy scripting
- Working knowledge of AWS
- Solid foundation in relational database design and data modeling
- Experience in production support, including incident management and job monitoring
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
