Developer Relations Engineer

Box is hiring a Developer Relations Engineer in New York, NY (onsite) to grow developer awareness and engagement for content-driven AI workflows and convert interest into pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Own the pipeline from ideation to publication across developer-facing formats, including technical blog posts, webinars, demo videos, and case studies; partner with engineering to ensure technical depth while you own the final output.
• Lead developer conference presence by attending and delivering talks at developer and AI engineering events.
• Run event strategy and relationships by building connections with event organizers and coordinating with GTM on lead capture and follow-up.
• Build extensions and plugins for popular AI libraries and frameworks, and measure impact of what you ship.
• Show up in the AI developer ecosystem where AI engineers “talk shop,” then use those interactions to produce weekly insights for Product and GTM and turn community presence into inbound interest.
• Improve based on friction you observe, with a focus on documentation quality as a conversion lever.

Requirements

• Strong drive to serve developers and help them be successful.
• Prior experience in an engineering or developer relations role.
• Enjoy creating new apps and experiences enabled by cutting-edge technologies.
• Ability to produce both technical writing and public speaking (strong technical writer and dynamic public speaker).
• Proficiency in either Python or JavaScript.
• Active involvement in the AI developer ecosystem, such as open source contributions or AI application development experience.
• Working knowledge of RAG and AI Agent development.
• Background supporting developer communities, open source projects, or user groups.
• An established personal brand and network in the AI developer ecosystem.
