Datastage Developer

Infosys is seeking a Datastage Developer for an on-site role in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position spans the full software lifecycle, from capturing and shaping requirements through design discussions, coding, testing strategies, and production issue resolution, with an emphasis on maintaining quality and reliable operations. You will also contribute to documentation and knowledge management to support ongoing success across similar projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned portions of business requirements in line with provided guidance.
• Drive software design discussions and record design decisions to guide the technical team toward solid solutions.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, prioritizing system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, implement changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
• Develop user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks to enable a smooth transition to new software.
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and propose preventive strategies to enhance reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive records of code, testing methods, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base for future projects.
