Database Developer (Senior)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code—including stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries—to support mission-critical applications.
• Develop backend reports and custom scripts to automate routine database management tasks.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance to meet performance and reliability targets.
• Maintain the database schema, assist with database design, and oversee transition development activities.
• Collaborate with customers, end users, and developers to collect requirements and ensure solutions align with mission needs.
• Provide technical SME support for data ingestion from diverse sources such as file systems.
• Perform database maintenance, upgrades, and system enhancements.
• Ensure database solutions meet security, performance, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in database development and administration.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Strong experience with database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning.
• Expertise in developing stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries.
• Solid understanding of database schema design and management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Active Top Secret security clearance is required.
