Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of a next generation cloud platform for data, analytics, AI, and machine learning.
• Research, analyze, design, and develop a broad set of data capabilities and products.
• Define technical standards and build reusable frameworks to enable consistent, scalable data capabilities and products.
• Own the technical delivery of Service Provider projects and guide their technical teams to deliver high quality, standards aligned, scalable outcomes.
• Explore emerging AI technologies to enable future capabilities and address complex technical challenges.
• Make decisions on complex, non routine requests to support analytics driven decisioning by Marriott business teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years hands-on experience building large scale data ETL pipelines and applications at enterprise scale
• 2+ years delivering large-scale data pipelines and applications on AWS cloud technologies and the Snowflake data platform
• Proven technical leadership with the ability to guide Service Provider technical resources
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related Engineering
• Graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Technology certifications in Snowflake and AWS
• Experience with Airflow, Python, and API calls
• Experience with data governance, privacy, and data quality techniques
• Experience with agile software methodologies
