Job Description
Data Engineer II for ITA Data at Amazon is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and pipelines to support Intelligent Talent Acquisition operations.
Compensation and Location
Location: Seattle, WA (onsite)
Salary: USD 132,100 - 178,800 per year
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain a secure platform that provides controlled access to large datasets.
- Design and support end-to-end scalable data architectures and pipelines.
- Define the team's data strategy and develop the technical roadmap for storage and pipeline design and implementation.
- Collaborate with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources using SQL, scripting, and AWS big data tools.
- Architect and implement complex ETL processes and related BI solutions.
- Partner with business owners, developers, and BI engineers to identify new data sources and deliver the data.
- Stay current with advances in big data technologies and run pilots on AWS to scale data architecture with increasing volumes.
- Enable self-service by equipping the team with skills to handle sophisticated tasks independently.
- Promote efficient data issue management and troubleshooting to boost autonomy and productivity while fostering a self-reliant culture.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
