Job Description
St. Louis, MO onsite role with a $125,000 to $150,000 yearly salary range. D&G Support Services, LLC supports USTRANSCOM’s Global Bulk Fuel Management and Delivery mission by building foundational data capabilities for the Joint Petroleum Enterprise (JPE). You will design and maintain pipelines, APIs, and integrations that help enable bulk fuel data collection, management, and consumption across the Department of Defense.
What you’ll do
Build core data engineering capabilities that feed enterprise stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making for the Common Operating Picture (COP) and related integration efforts. This includes designing scalable ingestion and transformation processes, enabling standardized enterprise data access, and coordinating metadata and governance artifacts.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines that ingest data into Databricks and support integration with Palantir Ontology and other enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support COP development and data integration activities.
- Review and analyze JPE data sources, including applications, websites, programs, and operational systems, to find opportunities for integration and enhancement.
- Design and implement scalable ingestion processes that transform source data into structured formats for enterprise consumption and API development.
- Develop, publish, and maintain APIs that provide standardized access to enterprise data across the JPE.
- Partner with stakeholders to manage enterprise data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data governance artifacts.
- Administer data structures, data topics, and data engineering processes while applying industry best practices.
- Support technical working groups and stakeholder meetings for metadata requirements, data modeling, architecture decisions, and tool selection.
- Contribute to preparation of presentations and technical materials for USTRANSCOM, Joint Staff, and Office of the Secretary of Defense governance forums.
- Provide technical recommendations for enterprise data modernization initiatives.
- Complete additional projects and tasks assigned by program leadership.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related technical discipline.
- Strong proficiency with SQL and Python.
- Experience building and maintaining pipelines using Apache Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience designing and implementing data integration solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.

Eligibility and location
