Data Engineer
Job Description
DCI Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer to join a cross-functional team in Colorado Springs, focusing on data integration, turning insights into actionable operational decisions, and building applications that support decision-making. This role requires hands-on experience with Spark, PySpark, or Pandas and an active Secret Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Act as a Data Engineer within a cross-functional team to address mission-critical problems.
- Ingest data, transform insights, and develop applications that inform operational decisions.
- Establish data feed transfers from source systems into the designated data location.
- Develop transformations and create new datasets using Spark for distributed processing.
- Monitor data build progress and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Design applications that answer operational questions and support decision-making.
- Fulfill RFIs related to the platform's data footprint.
- Collaborate with product teams while debugging and understanding the platform's codebase.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Solid data engineering background with a track record of delivering data solutions.
- Experience with Spark, PySpark, and/or Pandas.
- Proficient programming in Python and SQL, R, or similar languages.
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures relevant to development.
- Experience with Foundry is preferred.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
