Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Utilize SQL (MSSQL), R, and Python to access data, generate reports, assess operations, and spot trends.
• Conduct statistical analyses of pretrial data and build dashboards for senior leadership and community stakeholders.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in OSPS pretrial reports.
• Analyze pretrial operations data to identify trends and insights.
• Lead data integrations and reporting platform efforts with third-party vendors.
• Execute special research projects related to pretrial functions and operations.
• Develop best practices for data collection, integration, review, and quality assurance.
• Foster productive relationships with third-party software vendors, county pretrial departments, other government agencies, and community organizations involved in pretrial activities.
• Maintain current knowledge of pretrial services as well as related criminal justice and community corrections issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Three or more years of proficient use of MSSQL, R, and Python.
• Three years or more of experience with qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Eligibility to obtain LEADS certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• A valid IllinoisDriver’s License and proof of automobile insurance to operate a personal vehicle on state business, with a safe driving record.
