Job Description
This onsite Data Engineer role at Amazon.com Services LLC is based in Seattle, WA, with a yearly salary range of USD 132,100 to 178,800.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain the data infrastructure powering Prime Video's out-of-app and full-funnel customer journey analytics, experiments, and ML use cases.
- Own critical datasets and data pipelines that directly support analytics, experiments, and machine learning, enabling smarter targeting, personalization, and measurement.
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable data models and ETL pipelines that cover the full customer funnel, including the reporting layer for the out-of-app messaging platform and other PV marketing channel infrastructure.
- Build and enhance AI tooling and analytics products to enable self-serve access and improved operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and dependent teams to define data contracts, ensure upstream data reliability, and coordinate data schema updates and related communications.
- Partner with Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Scientists to deliver clean, structured data for dashboards, reporting, experiments, attribution analyses, and ML use cases.
- Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot jobs and cluster issues, and advance automation, testing, and observability to boost reliability.
- Promote data engineering best practices across the team, emphasizing documentation, version control, code reviews, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of data engineering experience.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- At least 3 years of experience analyzing and interpreting data using systems such as Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, among others.
- Strong SQL skills.
